About

Me.....

Hi there...

I’m Dana Anntynette, the bookish introvert behind Cozy in the Stacks.

My love story with romance novels started way back at age 12 when I snuck into my aunt’s room (don’t judge me, we’ve all been nosy kids ). I grabbed one of those tiny white colored paperbacks with two white people on the cover, wind dramatically blowing through their hair. Did I understand what was going on? Nope. But did it spark something? Absolutely.

Fast forward a few years, and I discovered my very first Arabesque romance novel at the library, Incognito by Francis Ray. Seeing a gorgeous Black couple on the cover for the first time? Game....Changer. That moment sparked my forever love affair with Black romance.

Since then, I’ve dipped into every trope, theme, and seasonal vibe imaginable. But one thing I never quite connected with? A traditional book club. I either didn’t have the time, couldn’t keep up with the deadlines, or just didn’t feel like it was me. Honestly, I love reading at my own pace, without the pressure. Still, I always craved that one thing: the chance to hear someone else’s thoughts on the books I loved.

That’s how Cozy in the Stacks was born. A space for Black romance lovers who want the joy of a book club without the stress of one. Here, you’ll find book picks, author spotlights, trope deep-dives, journaling prompts, and cozy vibes galore — all waiting for you whenever you’re ready to curl up and join in.

So if you’re looking for an introvert-friendly corner of the book world where you can gush, laugh, cry, and fangirl over Black romance stories... welcome home, friend.

"Believes every book deserves its moment, and every reader deserves a cozy corner to enjoy it."
